Louis George Hermes

George L. Hermes age, 88, of the Hot Springs Village, passed away 9/27/2018. George was born on 2/13/1930 in New York City to L. George and Elizabeth J. Hermes. He was a graduate of Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. George, an accomplished CPA, retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration as the Deputy Director of Finance. He and his wife Madelyn moved to Hot Springs Village in 1989. His memberships included AARP/IRS income Tax Volunteer Counseling Service, the Retired Senior Volunteers Program, the HSV Symphony Guild and the HSV Animal Welfare League. George’s wife, Madelyn Hermes, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in George’s name to the HSV Animal Welfare League.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at CedarVale Cemetery in the Hot Springs Village.
